Happy Thanksgiving!

This was Maya's first Thanksgiving, and we had a really great day! We celebrated Thanksgiving at the Lock's house with their family and friends. It was very nice to spend the holiday with such great friends. There was a ton of food, and it was all delicious! The smoked turkey was especially note-worthy in my opinion. Maya and Lauren got to play together for a little while. Maya kept trying to grab Lauren's face (her eyes in particular), and Lauren kept grabbing Maya's hands and smiling at her. It was really cute. Maya loves to get up close and in people's faces, that's for sure. Big or small, she loves faces, and she wants to be close enough to touch and grab eyes, noses, mouths, ears, whatever she can get her little hands on! Watch out, she has quite a grasp!

One of our mutual friends, Miriam, was there with a friend while her husband was working. She's pregnant with TWINS, and she's 18 weeks along. Her belly is just starting to pop, and she looks super cute! They're going to find out the baby's sexes in one week, and I can't wait! It's so exciting... all these babies! Maya is going to have tons of built in little friends, just from all my friend's kids! How cool is that?!

We had planned on introducing Maya to her first real food today, but between bad nap timing, going to the Lock's, and her bed time, we never had the opportunity. I thought it would have been cool to give her squash for the first time on Thanksgiving, but oh well, we'll just do it tomorrow! Since we've been giving her formula, she is spitting up all the time. It's really frustrating, but she still seems much more satisfied after each meal. I guess it's just going to take her body some time to get used to the stuff. Hopefully it's sooner than later... her clothes are getting trashed. Poor baby. I think it bothers us more than it bothers her. We'll give her a couple more days, then we'll just switch formulas and see if that works!

Hope everyone had a great Turkey Day! Gobble, Gobble!
