Maya had her one month doctor visit today, and we got a whole new set of measurements! She weighs 8 lbs. 8 oz. and measures 21.5 inches long with a head circumference of 37 cm, which according to the growth chart, puts her at about 25% for weight, 75% for height, and above average (not sure of the percent) for head circumference. Now, you may be wondering how on earth she grew 3 inches in 4 weeks. She didn't! The doctor said that she was probably measured wrong at birth, so she's actually long and skinny, not short and fat like we originally thought! Hahaha... Now we're really not sure how that could be possible, given Will's and my statures! Despite her low weight, the doctor was not concerned because she had gained 1 pound in 2 weeks. He's confident that she'll continue to gain, no problem! Overall, she got a clean bill of health! We go back to the doctor in one month, and she'll start to get her immunizations at that time. BOOOO! I'm not looking forward to that at all!
